Artist's Ambush RulesWhen the Ambush starts, the art challenge of the night is announced to all assembled. The clock then starts, and all the participating artists have thirty minutes to come up with a response to the challenge. Everyone is welcome to participate, no matter what their drawing experience is. While most people draw with pencil and paper, some folks have produced art with water colors, vector graphics, Flash animation or even photographs of sculptures. Anything is fine as long as it can be displayed on a web page and is complete by the end of the contest. Because this contest is open to all ages, works should be PG-13 suitable. Due to browser constraints, works should fit within a 750 x 750 pixel space. There is a grace period after the contest ends to do technical things. You don't have to scan your drawing during contest time - you can leave this until after time runs out. The same goes for downloading a photograph to your computer. If you are drawing, when your drawing is ready, either send the moderator a URL where they can download your art, or email it to blackears@kitfox.com. A webpage will be assembled with all the entries. VotingEveryone assembled in the studio can vote for their favorite images. The people who drew can vote as well, with the exception that they are not allowed to vote for their own drawing. All voters are able to cast two votes - one for their favorite image and one for their second favorite. This is done by whispering your votes to the moderator. The first vote is worth 2 points, and the second worth 1. When everyone who is voting has cast their votes, the moderator will tally the results and announce the winner and runner up.
